About
I am an abstract painter in Virginia Beach, Virginia, working primarily in acrylics. My work is minimal; sometimes quiet, sometimes moody. I am drawn to muted neutral colors. I often think of my pieces as abstract still life.
My art is about contrast and harmony. I like organic, ethereal strokes and solid geometric forms; clean, precise lines and natural, organic shapes; spontaneity and restraint; free-flowing playfulness and order; aged and worn, shiny and new. It's all about balance and the beauty that results.
I am inspired by open spaces, both indoors and out: clean, modern architecture and ancient ruins; smooth metal surfaces and craggy old stone; serene outdoor settings from dense lush forests to rugged coastlines.
I enjoy creating peaceful little environments of minimalistic beauty.
